Mohan, the founder of Tamil Nadu's first UPI payment
company, IPPO PAY, started his business in Chennai from Thamaraikulam village
in Ramanathapuram district and became a great entrepreneur.
Growing up from a village background, Mohan said that it
was a great struggle to create the first digital payment platform in Chennai,
and he said that it was a kind of experience that he got from successive failures
in his 7 start-up companies.
He mentions that Ippo Pay has created it as a competitor
to existing digital payments in India and has learned from the failures of
every startup that has succeeded in this Ippo Pay startup.
Mohan also said that payment-related start-up companies
are generally global or from northern states, but now with Pay, he has started
with the desire to start a startup in Tamil Nadu, usually with Chennai as the
head. He mentioned that the English word Pay Now has been shortened to Ippo Pay
in Tamil.
Ippo Pay said that the general purpose of its launch is
that companies such as Google Pay and Ponpay around the world are mostly active
in cities, but their usage is not much in rural areas, so they have started to
create awareness about more payments in rural areas. Similarly, Mohan has said
that his aim is to target small box stores and bring digital payments to them.
Generally, if you start a startup and go to raise money
from some investors, are the startup founders educated in IIT, IIM, Chennai?
Are you a good English speaker? He said that he saw that and he also had
difficulty in it. He said that investors are now coming forward to give money
to Tamilians with emphasis on their talent, and he regretted that he had
difficulty in not having those opportunities in the past.
Saying that you can't generally make profit on UPI
transactions through Ippo Pay, he said that UPI is free and only
transaction-based methods like insurance and transaction cards can generate
income. He
also mentioned that QR Line has been providing services for 9 months since last
January and has 2 lakh merchants as its customers till now.
He says that companies like Google Pay, Amazon, and Phone
Pe in India usually involve only third parties or freelancers in the placement
of employees, but Ippo Pay employs all the qualified people who are looking for
work. He
said that till now there are 150 sales officers in Tamil Nadu and 150 more
sales officers are going to be added. He said that they were able to achieve
very quickly because they all work like their company.
He said that Ipo Pay is different among the big foreign
companies Google Pay, PhonePe, Amazon
and as a neo banking solution in B2B mode, it has more facilities than banks
can do. In
particular, collection said that merchants can use the money received through
QR to send money to sellers, and Dispose will be automatically registered in
the app. He also said that facilities such as sales report and account book
have been provided in Ippo Pay and this will be useful.
At this stage, he has mentioned that this is the secret
of his success now, focusing on the failure of his 7 start-ups, what he should
not do, and what he should do based on the experiences of his employees. When
starting the start-up, he said that Ramprasad, Ramanathan and Prabhu were good
mentors, but there were many people who wanted to bring him down and he found
success beyond that.
Mohan says that his company started 2 years ago and till
now Ippo Pay has 4000 online merchants and 2 lakh offline merchants. It started
with just 7 people and today 250 people are working. On a monthly basis, 3000
crore transactions have been done and Ippo Pay has made huge profits in the
first quarter. He has also said that he has a spear.
He said that everyone likes to start a start-up and
should continue to travel in that start-up. If those who have completed their
studies leave the start-up immediately and start learning from experience, they
can find success. He also said that he wants to bring more start-ups in Chennai
than Benglore.
Mohan, who claims that he is also a victim, said that
Chennai, which allows Vandar to live, will be the first to run away, and Mohan,
who says that he is also a victim, has experienced a lot of hardship in Chennai
without any means of money and has found success in Ippo Pay.
If you have the attitude of giving what you have to others, everyone can definitely find success in life, says Mohan, the founder of Ippo Pay.
